About the event

About the walk:

Reputedly the Corbett Arms in the High Street is haunted by the Ghost of a chambermaid who hanged herself in room 7 when her boyfriend ran away. Its also rumoured that a "joiner" Eddie Chapman Smith witnessed a misty outline in the Sandbrook Vaults, fearing he had fired a nail into a pipe, he rushed to the spot, and the "mist" had vanished!!!!, But probably the best known and most disturbing rumoured phantom is associated with the canal a hideous black, shaggy coated being said to appear at double arched Bridge 59. This is supposedly the ghost of a boatman drowned there in the 19th century.

Join us as we tour the dark alleyways, bridleways, canal towpath & lanes around Market Drayton, on a little over 4.5 mile walk in the Dark!
