The Roaches & Lud’s Church

About the walk: Follow in the footsteps of Sir Gawain, a Knight of the Round Table, and find the chapel of the Green Knight! Look for the mermaid, and learn the history of Lud’s Church, on this fabulous walk across the rocky landscape of The Roaches and down into Forest Wood… Drink in the amazing views over Tittesworth Reservoir and much of Cheshire, stretching as far as Snowdon in Wales and Winter Hill in Lancashire…

Optional Visit after the walk to: Three Horseshoes Country Inn, Blackshaw Moor, Leek, ST13 8TW

Difficulty: Moderate Distance: 7 miles approx. Ascent: 1200 feet total climbing

Meet up on the car park of the Swimming baths in Market Drayton, and then travel to the start point from Market Drayton, that way if anyone needs a lift those with cars may be able to assist? If you live more locally to the start point you can travel direct to the start point, but YOU MUST make us aware via an email message!

We leave the swimming baths at: 9.00am prompt.
