A varied 8 mile walk steeped in industrial history with views over the Staffordshire countryside. We follow the Churnet Valley, with a possibility of seeing a steam train, then climb The Devil’s Staircase heading for Ipstone and beyond. Featuring canal, river, woodland, two villages, the magestic Harston Rock and lots of old pubs! No major hill climbs, but you will have your ups and downs…  Join us afterwards for a relaxing drink at The Railway Inn, 

Optional Visit is to: The Railway Inn , Bank View, ST10 2HA

Total Ascent: 1,000 ft

Meet up on the car park of the Swimming baths in Market Drayton, and then travel to the start point from Market Drayton, that way if anyone needs a lift those with cars may be able to assist? If you live more locally to the start point you can travel direct to the start point, but YOU MUST make us aware via an email message!

We leave the swimming baths at: 9.00am prompt.
