About the walk:
Peter Hough will take you along the Caldon Canal through Cheddleton before climbing to a viewpoint at Tompkin to gaze across the Staffordshire countryside and Stanley Pool with Mow Cop in the distance. After Stanley village, we rejoin the canal and make our way back to the car park. Lots of industrial heritage along the way…

Meet up on the Car Park at The Swimming Baths, Market Drayton and then travel to the start point, that way if anyone needs a lift those with cars may be able to assist? If you live more locally to the start point you can travel direct to the start point, but YOU MUST make us aware beforehand!

Walk starts and Finishes: Deep Hayes Visitor Centre free car park: Grid reference: SJ958527.
From the A53 in Longsdon, turn right into Denford Road, keep left into Micklea Lane, right at T junction into Park Lane.
